The St. Peter School Choir is directed and accompanied by Jolene Nelson. Mrs. Nelson leads our students in glorifying God, learning about music and our Catholic Faith, and enriching the Mass through sacred music. Interested boys and girls in grades 3-8 are all welcome - no experience necessary! If space permits, motivated 2nd graders can join in as well.
What to expect? - Participating in fun and engaging weekly rehearsals throughout the school year. - Learning music theory and techniques through experience. Free music lessons! - Playing a part in bringing Christ to the world through the liturgy and learning more about the Mass. - Building your brain – learn some Latin, the official language of our Roman Catholic Church!
Who Is Jolene? Jolene brings over 20 years of experience as an organist, accompanist, Catholic school teacher, and choir director. As a wife and mom of two active growing boys, she understands kids and music, as well as busy schedules! A native of upstate NY, Jolene and her family moved to North Ridgeville from Hampton, NH, where she started and developed a highly successful Children’s Choir program at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish. Now she is grateful to be contributing to liturgical music in her new hometown!
Choir is currently ON HOLD due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but interested parents can feel free to email Mrs. Nelson for more information at [email protected].
