The Spiritual Life Committee celebrates the Spirit of Christ alive in the world. We share responsibility for the ministry of Jesus in our community and in our time. We support the mission of St. Peter Parish by encouraging continual spiritual growth as a faith community.
Our contribution to the parish's liturgical and prayer life will provide for the spiritual enrichment of all members of the parish. We will offer a variety of opportunities that will nurture and inspire spiritual development, accommodating diverse individual gifts, needs and desires.
It is our hope that through the work of this Committee, the members of our parish will answer the universal call to holiness and deepen their relationship with God, bearing the fruit of that devotion as individuals and community.
The Spiritual Life Committee's purpose according to Council Charter:
Provide experiences for the parish that provide a personal encounter with Jesus.
Utilize a variety of approaches to spirituality to help individuals to link faith with life experiences.
Develop parish-wide retreats, days of recollection, faith-sharing and other devotional practices in a way that harmonizes with the liturgical seasons.
Network with surrounding parishes to develop new spiritual experiences.
