Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of the Unborn
In all the Dioceses of the United States, January 22 is observed as “a particular day of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion” (General Instruction of the Roman Missal).
To observe the Day of Prayer, St Peter and St. Julie Billiart parishes are sponsoring prayer throughout the day. All are welcome and encouraged to join these times of prayer:
St. Peter
8:15am – Mass with intentions for life
9:00am – After Mass - Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet
St. Julie Billiart
2:00pm – Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
2:30pm – Rosary for Life led by St. Julie Rosary Group
3:30pm – Prayers for Life led by 40 Days for Life Prayer Group
“A great prayer for life is urgently needed, a prayer which will rise up throughout the world. Through special initiatives and in daily prayer, may an impassioned plea rise to God, the Creator and lover of life, from every Christian community, from every group and association, from every family and from the heart of every believer.”
