Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW)

Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) helps children in the 1st through 5th Grades participate more fully in the Mass. Immediately following the opening prayer of mass, the children are invited to go to another church facility with the CLOW Ministers.

The readings and instruction are then given in a way that the children can more fully understand the Word of God. Meanwhile, the adults are able to concentrate more fully on an adult message. Just before the offertory, the children return to their families and participate in the Eucharist.

There is no need for the children to sign up in advance. Just have them come forward when called during Mass. CLOW is currently being celebrated at the 10:00 a.m. Mass.

If you are interested in becoming a CLOW Minister, please contact Cheryle Koberna at the Parish Center or by email at koberna@stpeternr.org. Please indicate "CLOW" in your email Subject. Sr. High students are welcome to be a minister.

Orientation for new ministers will be provided. All of the material necessary for preparation will be provided prior to your scheduled day of ministry. The CLOW Minister's schedule is included with the Liturgical Ministry Schedule.
